“Our survey says…” thank you for the feedback.

A very big word of thanks goes out to all of you who took part in the recent customer feedback survey for Sergio Giannasso Hair & Make-up. We are regularly reviewed via websites we hardly know online. What we wanted was more direct, straightalking feedback with your views on particular areas of the business. And what you wrote was uplifting. The fact that more than 80% of you rated our service better than that of other salons was fantastic. Grazie!!!

Many of you put a lot of thought into this exercise, as well as fresh ideas. We will take them all on board. And as some of you suggested, a salon maitre d’ would make a positive addition to the team. Great minds think alike! As we get busier, we recognise more and more the benefits and are on the case! We’ll be telling you as we turn these ideas into practise.

In the meantime, we will continue pouring love into our work as much as possible. To those of you who did not have the chance to take part, constructive feedback and ideas are always welcome. It remains our goal to be the best. Sergio & the team

Lucky winner’s Cut & Style

This is me with Ruth, celebrating. Her name was first out of the glam hat in our First Birthday in Business Lucky Draw. She came in for her winner’s cut & style yesterday.

Second Prize went to Tina (a complimentary weekday blowdry with summer product) and third prize went to Sarah Jane (complimentary summer products). Congratulations to all three.

Ciao a tutti,  This is is “Deliquescent”. It’s a new fashion short film directed by Luca de Salvia, styled by sisters Silvia and Valentina at Milletre in Kensington (milletre.co.uk) and with myself as the studio’s hair stylist. It’s one of those coincidences but Luca also comes from my hometown Foggia, Puglia. It’s not a big place so it’s fascinating to me to meet other people from there, working here in London. His field is luxury branding and advertising – YSL, Gucci, Burberry, Noka etc – and this is what he says about the film: 

“It’s an exploration of the drama which is implicit in slow motion footage. Slow motion has the intensity of holding your breath, it’s loaded with emotional expectations and fear. In slow motion, fascinating and unexpected shapes are revealed to the naked eye. Sometimes in life we have the impression that time freezes, for instance, before diving off a high cliff into the ocean looking down, or during a car crash. During the film two models, who are at times fighting the natural force of water, and other times are immersed in it, give the film a human quality and are given a cathartic role. The soundtrack is a collection of sounds of nature mixed with electronic samples and the sound of heartbeat and breathing.”
