The Royal Weft – The Duchess of Cambridge

// October 30th, 2011 // No Comments » // Hair Extensions, Press Coverage, Services, The Salon, The Team

There was some speculation this week over whether the Duchess of Cambridge used extensions to achieve this Wow Now amazing look of hers – gorgeous hair that is just full of volume.

Did she or didn’t she? (investigative journalism  get ready!) It did however highlight how extensions can be the most fantastic accessory for the most formal occasions. It doesn’t have to always be about the likes of Cheryl Cole, Katie Price or Paris Hilton tottering out of Bungalow 8  at 4 in the morning. The Duchess is already a style icon, following in the footsteps of the late Princess of Wales.

I would not hesitate to suggest extensions for more elegant volume, body or shape of cut. Or in order to vary shades of colour – highlight effects for example – without chemical treatments.

They are a great way to  look impeccable all the time without stressing the tresses. You can change your colour, your look (and your mind!!!) effortlessly. Not a bad thing if the world’s cameras are trained on you all the time.  Marcio Soares – “Great Lengths” extensions specialist. Tel 0207 240 9973

Ciao a tutti,

Meet Marcio Soares, our inhouse expert on hair extensions. He’s been working for more than a decade with many different product types in an industry that is constantly evolving new techniques. But it’s the client base ultimately that counts and Marcio’s quality of work explains why he is regularly away doing hair across several continents; Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

He says, “I’m always looking for the safest products that have least impact on your natural hair. If done very well, people do not necessarily need to know extensions have been added. What I also do is integrate at least three, usually four, different shades into the natural base colour. This creates the most realistic effect.”

Clients of his either are looking for that glamorous touch (ie Cheryl Cole, Victoria Beckham) or for a more serious, tailored, natural look with volume and / or extra length. ie a simple, accessible way to make you feel more confident and look your best.

Ultimately it all comes down to the initial, sensitive consultation on what you are looking for and whether / how it can be achieved. This is a service that is available to all salon clients at no cost. Just call Marcio on 0207 240 9973.

PROMOTION: We currently have a fantastic promotion with Marcio which we’ve posted on the website. This is available only to the first ten customers. Just click on AMAZING EXTENSIONS OFFER!

Hair to make Wimbledon look easy!

// June 23rd, 2011 // No Comments » // Brazilian Keratin Straightening, Celebrities, Humour, Press Coverage, Services, The Salon

A few thoughts on hair style if you’re playing at Wimbledon this year.
Firstly: COME ON ANDY!!!!!
If you’re going to win, just do it looking HOT on FINALS day!
It’s a killer touch to look effortlessly good while playing better than anybody else. We should know!!!
So, we’re officially inviting you in for some feet up and a hair style fit for Centre Court before the BIG one.
We mean it. It’s going to be either super hot, super humid, super wet or torrential between now and then. Take your pick.

By the way, we LOVE your “bad hair day” look! We’re not going to give you a Kate Middleton blowdry. Or match it with make-up!

But we’d definitely start with the Brazilian blowdry keratin treatment. Consider that a smash. Your hair will look champion (and worth the prize money) on a humid day. Ask all our other professional male clients who secretly wish they were you.

Then we’ll cut and style it so you can work it, rock it, slam it (a la Cheryl Cole!) And add a finishing touch with our favourite wax – MUK.

Ask David Hasselfhoff. He came by not long ago.

It takes a lot to be a Wimbledon champion.
Just a few minutes of our time and you’ll be glad you saw us first.
