Buon giorno.
I’m looking out on to a St Martin’s Lane at its best. 29 degrees, a great atmosphere and a lot of buzz going on. Jamie’s Italian opened up the road last night for a trial run (it officially opens Monday 7th) so now I’ve got the food I grew up with right under my nose; and next door, the v smart Mexican Cantina Laredo is about to kick off. As is the new St Martin’s Courtyard for shops. IN fact, it looks like recession is taking a broom to the area; new faces cropping up everywhere. A year ago, it didn’t look this way. I guess it all started with my tiramisu.
There is plenty going on in the salon too! And if you’re planning to make the most of the sunshine this summer, just remember Kerastase has a “soleil” range of products specifically for protection and repair from the sun’s UV rays, heat and chlorinated / salt water. Ask any of us here if you need one-to-one advice about the range.
(1) The Aqua seal – UVB filter and moisturizing agents.
Protects against drying effect of sun as well as salt or chlorinated water. Applied by hand and left in until washed.
(2) Creme UV Defense Active – More suitable for colour treated or bleached hair. Also applied by hand and left in until washed.
(3) Brume Nuit Apres-Soleil – Leave in overnight after exposure to sun / a day at the beach. Restores firbre and soothes the scalp. Spray in from roots to ends.
(4) Creme Richesse – Nourishes sun-damaged hair with vitamin E and B5 (pantothenic acid). Applied by hand, left in for three minutes then washed out.
(5) Apres Soleil serum – A spray-in finishing treatment for sun-exposed hair. This is best suited to styling unruly, damaged hair and adds silk and shine.
